Rev. Alton J. Ruff, B.A. M. Div.

Rev. Alton has been our pastor since September 2010. Alton hails from Stouffville, Ontario where he became a Christian through the ministry of a local Baptist congregation. Alton quickly developed a love for the Word and sensed a call to pastoral ministry. Alton entered Bible College straight out of High School, eventually graduating with degrees from Tyndale University College, Tyndale Seminary, and Knox College, University of Toronto. Over the years Alton has pastored in Stouffville, Oak Ridges, Beeton, and Toronto, Ontario. He is glad to now make Midland his new home with his wife Nikki, and his two young sons.

Rev. Alton is friendly and approachable. He desires to know his congregation and all visitors personally. With humour and insight he is deeply committed to preaching the good news of Jesus Christ in a biblical and culturally relevant way. If you would like to contact him he is available by email, phone, or drop by Monday through Wednesday at Knox from 9am to 3pm.

The Session

The core leadership of our congregation is found in individuals appointed to term eldership. When our elders meet together they form the Session. Our Session works hard to manage day-to-day affairs of the church as well as lead the congregation forward.

Our current members of Session are:

Mary Lea Craig (Clerk), Pauline Tourigny, Fred Hacker, Melanie Larkin,  Joan Gordon, Sharene Cooper.

Teaching Elder:

Rev. Alton J. Ruff
