We have been doing a lot of thinking lately, about the name “Praise Team” for our little band of people that make the music and A-V happen here at Knox. The problem is that having a “Praise Team” implies that, when that group of people step up onto the stage and begin doing their thing, that’s when we’re really praising God. We believe that every aspect of our worship gatherings and of our lives can and should be an act of praise and worship to God. So we have decided to change the name of this dedicated group of people.
For now on, we will be known as “P-33”. We chose the name based on Psalm 33, which we feel best exemplifies what we do on a regular basis. Especially verses 1-3: “Good people, cheer God! Right-living people sound best when praising. Use guitars to reinforce your Hallelujahs! Play his praise on a grand piano! Invent your own new song to him; give him a trumpet fanfare.” As well as verses 20-22: “We’re depending on God; he’s everything we need. What’s more, our hearts brim with joy since we’ve taken for our own his holy name. Love us, God, with all you’ve got— that’s what we’re depending on.”

We hope you will embrace and continue to support all of the gifted people involved in sound, video, vocals and instruments, that help make the music time during our worship so amazing. And please welcome P-33. Thank you.
