Our Vision

Vision is not about reality or what is.  Vision is all about our God-inspired dreams and aspirations of what could be.  The leaders of this church dream that one day:

We experience relevant Sunday worship, utilizing current audio and video technology, music, preaching, decoration, dress, and drama that speak to contemporary people. 

We warmly welcome all people as friends.  We go above and beyond in our greeting ministry, and our people go out of their way to welcome guests and each other.  Our building, programs, small groups, and advertising all intentionally reflect a welcoming attitude.

We foster authentic biblical community and deeper spiritual growth not only on Sunday morning but also throughout the week in ministry teams and small groups.  Every member of the church experiences the regular support, instruction, and fellowship of a small group.

We discover our God-given spiritual gifts and learn how to use them for the good of the congregation and our community.  There is a place at Knox for every person to be a minister.

We make youth and children a priority as we develop new ways of ministering to young families.  We have revitalized energy and enthusiasm through the addition of inspired leaders, and the calling of a pastor, to assist this important and growing ministry. 

We respectfully yet passionately share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the people of Midland in both word and deed.  We employ evangelistic programs within our walls, and we go out in obedience to the Great Commission. We utilize regular “bridge events” to build new friendships.  We are active in community events bringing a message of grace.

We serve each other and the community out of love and in obedience to Jesus who taught us to be servants.  We offer our building as a resource to community programs that enhance the lives of the people of Midland.  We have evaluated the usefulness of our building for the purposes to which God has called us and renovated it to suit those needs. 

We have a transformative impact on the town of Midland to God’s glory.
